To restore and protect wild ecosystems in their natural state of evolution
Wildlife now represents only 2% of the animal population, with 85% being domestic animals and 13% humans. Faced with this mass extinction, Sempervirens invests 5% of its revenue in acquiring land to give nature a chance and recreate freely evolving ecosystems. Help us amplify this action by contributing financially to the project.
Sempervirens seeks to strengthen its actions in favor of biodiversity and, in 2023, created "La Renaturation Sempervirens" (Sempervirens Renaturation), which aims to acquire land in areas impacted by human activity and restore the original ecosystem at its intervention sites. The project's objective is to help future generations understand nature before the Anthropocene. Land acquisitions enable:
- The restoration of lost ecosystems;
- The protection of natural areas threatened by deforestation and urbanization;
- The formation of carbon sinks.
.
The project relies on the expertise of the SEMPERVIRENS agency – Landscape Ecology Design – to select the land and then carry out the restoration. Sempervirens has a large experimental site in a coastal area in the Val-de-Saire, acquired in 2012. We are looking for other acquisitions in France and around the world.
Renaturation Sempervirens draws its resources from the support of private philanthropic benefactors and companies within the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
5% of SEMPERVIRENS' turnover is dedicated to land acquisition.
