The sundial for the visually impaired SEMPERVIRENS LANDSCAPERS:

Solar time is revealed by touch, thanks to a cool surface where the shadow of the gnomon is cast. The thermal contrast is amplified on the dial by metal sections arranged perpendicular to the path of the sun's rays. This design allows for a tactile reading of the time, from dawn to dusk, with remarkable precision. The gnomon is parallel to the polar axis, thus offering the visually impaired the opportunity to perceive, through the sensations of their fingers, the harmony and order of the celestial bodies, intimately connecting them to the architecture of the solar system. This sundial, invented during his studies by Frédéric-Charles Aillet, was first constructed in a secret garden.

The whole team SEMPERVIRENS LANDSCAPERS is extremely proud to announce that the construction of the very first sundial designed for blind and visually impaired people is now underway, thanks to the support of a patron sponsor.
My original student project idea was to enable blind people to perceive the celestial order and the movement of time through touch and sensory interaction.
